Morini Gallery “INTENSITY” – Call For Art

Morini Gallery “INTENSITY” – Call For Art

A Black & White Photography Exhibit

Committed to Supporting Local and Regional Artists

Sept. 10 – Nov. 20, 2022

This is a black and white photography-themed exhibition. Toned images are acceptable. We are seeking work that displays intensity – of contrast, emotion, or feeling. Show us work that involves strong connectivity or lack thereof: darkness or light, sadness or happiness, fear/anxiety or a sense of calm, etc. We have certainly been through a whirlwind of emotion the past few years. Let’s display that.

This is a juried exhibit. The show is open to photography only. Artists may enter up to five (5) images. There is a $10 entry fee for each submission. The Gallery will retain a 30% commission on works sold, which is considered a tax-deductible donation to Mass Arts Center.

Entry Deadline: August 15, 2022
Selected pieces will be posted on the Morini Gallery website on Aug. 20.

Rebecca Skinner image by Diane Danthony

About the juror:

Rebecca Skinner

Rebecca Skinner photographs abandoned spaces throughout the United States. She is a modern-day urban explorer seeking unique neglected structures and desolate places. Skinner’s subject matter ranges from large open spaces to small details such as peeling paint and rust. Texture, color and light play important parts in her image making. She is attracted to the beauty of her locations as well as their forgotten histories.

Skinner is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and a Core Member of Fountain Street. When not out photographing, she spends time with her husband John and their two children, 18-year-old John and 16-year-old Lillian.
