About the comedians

Bob Niles has been a popular comedian in New England for more than 25 years, headlining shows at comedy clubs, Elks clubs, Lions clubs, country clubs, Rotary clubs, and just regular traffic rotaries. Niles has lived an unusual life, and when he examines this life for people to see, the results are pure dynamite! Bob was just 20 years old when his first child was born, and his second child came when he was 46!! What happened in between gets looked at and the results are hilarious. From the Woodstock-generation to the 21st century, Niles has been a confused observer and a baffled participant.

Jason Merrill is a fast-rising Boston comedian with an animated style. The latest in a line of strong comedians from the great city of Lawrence, Massachusetts, he has impressed audiences with his streetwise style and good-natured exuberance. He has shared the stage with accomplished comedians such as Juston McKinney, Lenny Clarke, Christine Hurley, Joe Yannetty, and Steve Sweeney.

Born and raised in Boston’s little neighborhood of Charlestown, Patty Gould can be found around New England performing with the best of Boston’s comics at shows and fundraisers. She’s a glass-half-filled, widowed, empty nest baby-boomer who will delight you with the tales from her life’s second act.

Lauren Sims grew up in Mansfield where she spent five fabulous summers working right across the street at Great Woods (Yes, she still calls it Great Woods.) On Sept. 17, she’ll make her professional debut with MMAS. She took the leap into comedy by taking stand-up classes at Laugh Boston taught by Boston headliner Tony V. and was moving along in the stand-up world when Covid-19 hit (sad trombone sound). She co-hosts a very funny podcast, and since the pandemic lockdown lifted has been back to performing on the Boston open mike stages.

Dave Rattigan returns as host. The longtime New England headliner has been featured at the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival and Women in Comedy Festival. His CD has been played on Sirius Satellite Radio, and he’s performed on TV’s The Steve Katsos Show. He’s done commercials for Olympia Sports and iParty, and performed in Dublin and Kilkenny, Ireland, at the Cat’s Laugh Comedy Festival. He is also the co-host of two podcasts, the crime ‘n grime-focused Inside the Thin Blue Line and Soccerheads New England, scheduled to debut in September 2021.
