DREAM LOVERS:
A Tribute To Bobby Darin & Connie Francis
Enjoy a fantastic journey through the music and exciting careers of Walden Robert Cassotto, better known as Bobby Darin, and the delightful, Connie Francis. Together, these two made quite a dynamic duo. The solo hits of both Connie and Bobby continued to top the charts through the 50’s and 60’s. Jimmy’s ultra smooth voice and retro vibe portrays Bobby’s immense talent and brings to life his magnetic stage presence performing great hits like “Queen Of The Hop,” “Splish Splash,” “Beyond The Sea,” “Dream Lover,” and of course, “Mack The Knife.” You’ll also hear classics like “Bill Bailey,” “Artificial Flowers,” and the haunting yet very appropriate tune, “The Curtain Falls.” Sammy Davis Jr. once quipped, “Bobby Darin is the only act that I never want to follow.” See and hear Bobby Darin personified as Jimmy croons, bops, scats, and rocks it from the beginning right through the “Darin Invasion.”
Dawn Turlington will melt your heart when you hear her perform one of the most beautiful and recognizable voices in classic music. Born Concetta Franconero in Newark New Jersey, Connie Frances went on to become one of the most popular female vocalists to top the charts in the 1950s and 60s. With hit songs like “Lipstick On Your Collar,” “Stupid Cupid,” “Vacation,” “Where The Boys Are,” and “Who’s Sorry Now” just to name a few, Dawn takes you back to an era when emotions flowed like water through a faucet. Dawn captures every nuance of the look and feel that Connie delivered in her heyday.
Together, Jimmy and Dawn recapture a time when music truly touched your soul and your heart. Relive the magic with several amazing duets including “I Got Rhythm,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “Don’t Break The Heart That Loves You,” “You’re The Top,” and many more.
