Sept. 10 – Nov. 20, 2022
This juried black and white photography-themed exhibition sought work that displays intensity – of contrast, emotion, or feeling, strong connectivity or lack thereof: darkness or light, sadness or happiness, fear/anxiety or a sense of calm, etc., the whirlwind of emotion we’ve been through the past few years.
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 10, 2022, 3-5pm.
There will be a cash bar and great duet vibes on ukulele by The Lisa’s (Lisa Doucet and Lisa Gerlach).
Based in Attleboro, Lisa Doucet and Lisa Gerlach perform as The Lisa’s, an acoustic duo (ukulele/vocals) that plays a variety of songs from the 30s to the 80s in a fun, energetic style. The couple began performing as The Lisa’s in 2020 to entertain family and friends during the pandemic lockdown.
Lisa Gerlach picked up the tenor ukulele in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since.
Lisa Doucet soon followed by choosing the baritone ukulele as her instrument of choice. In February 2019, Lisa and Lisa joined the Unlikely Strummers, a large ukulele ensemble that performs throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. As active members of the Unlikely Strummers, The Lisa’s have performed at Boston Harborfest, Roger Williams Park Zoo, National Anthem for the Providence Bruins, PawSox and Woosox, and many other fabulous venues. On occasion The Lisa’s also perform duets at Unlikely Strummer performances.
