Comedy New Year’s Eve – Dec. 31

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with two comedy shows featuring headliner Paul Nardizzi, who counts frequent appearances on Sirius Satellite Radio, Comedy Central and Conan O’Brien among his national credits.
“We’re happy to show off our new home, and celebrate the beginning of a new year with laughter,” Executive Director Ken Butler said. “It’s great to get back to a night of live stand-up comedy, and I don’t think anybody’s going to miss 2020 or 2021.”
Nardizzi will be joined by three strong young Boston-area comedians, Matt McArthur, David Caggiano and Dan Donahue, on the show co-produced by MMAS along with Scamps Comedy Productions. Tickets are $35 (including hors d’ouerves). Showtimes are 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. for the shows, and tickets are available at mmas.org.
For two years, MMAS has hosted outdoor comedy shows, but this is the first stand-up show scheduled at the renovated indoor theater at 888 South Main Street, Mansfield.
“We did a virtual show last year, but there’s no comparison to live stand-up comedy in a great performance space, and this is a fantastic performance space,” Butler said. “It will be the perfect entertainment choice for New Year’s Eve.”
About the comedians

Paul Nardizzi is one of the country’s top comedians, with multiple standup appearances on the aforementioned outlets as well as Fox Sports’ Best Damn Sports Show Period, The NESN Comedy All-Stars and the syndicated Steve Katsos Show. A former winner of the Boston Comedy Festival, Nardizzi is in demand for theater shows, corporate functions, colleges, golf tournaments, and fundraisers. In addition to his other credits, he’s a prolific author of humor books and co-host for a podcast focused on the world of soccer, Soccerheads New England, available at iHeart Radio.

Matt McArthur discovered his love of doing stand up comedy as a college student, and since has been performing at clubs and colleges all over New England. As well as being a comedian, Matt also became a professional bagpiper at a young age, and since has been performing at churches and cemeteries all over New England.

Dave Caggiano is a stand up comedian from Peabody. He performs regularly at Nick’s Comedy Stop and was featured in the Boston Globe for being a bad date. He is also a full time firefighter and paramedic.

Dan Donahue is an electrician by day, fast-progressing Boston comedian by night. Much of his humor comes from his experiences on the job. He has performed on Scamps Comedy-produced shows around New England as an opener and host, working with comedians including Juston McKinney, Mike McDonald, Christine Hurley, Paul Nardizzi and more.
