Comedy Night – June 26 – $20

Outdoor stand-up comedy returns to MMAS with two shows on Saturday, June 26, 2021, former Boston Comedy Festival winner Dan Boulger. The outdoor shows take place behind the theater, 888 South Main Street in Mansfield (across from the XFinity Center) at 6 and 8 p.m.
Boulger appears with three other hilarious Boston comedians: David Lamb, Jaylene Tran and host Dave Rattigan. The show is presented with MMAS and Scamps Comedy Productions.
Tickets are $20 per person, and patrons can look toward the stage and the picturesque Norton Reservoir. Cooked food will be available for purchase at 5 p.m., then 7:30 p.m., prior to each show. Food donations benefit Dana Farber’s Pan Mass Challenge. Beer and wine will also be available, with proceeds benefiting MMAS. There will be a tent to protect the audience in case of rain.
Many of our audience members said that getting out of their homes and coming to our shows last summer was a great release for them on Saturday nights, even if they were sitting in their cars or on lawn chairs in a parking lot. This year we’ve made some changes that will enhance the audience experience. People are really going to have a great time.”
Ken Butler, executive director, MMAS
Other dates for standup comedy this summer are July 24, August 7 and August 21.
About the comedians

Dan Boulger has appeared twice on CBS’s The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, and BBC America’s World Stands Up. The Boston Comedy Festival winner has performed at the prestigious HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen, Colorado and in A-list clubs, theaters and colleges around the country. He was named a “comic to watch” by The Boston Globe. That’s very impressive for a comic who grew up idolizing the standup of Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg and Todd Barry, and began his career shortly after graduating from high school in 2004.

Dave Lamb has been performing stand-up comedy in and around Boston for almost 10 years. In that time, Dave has performed all over New England with some of the area’s best and up-and-coming acts. During his time in comedy Dave has performed in clubs, bars, casinos, restaurants, and rec centers, but can most often be seen headlining a classroom every weekday at an area public school, where he learned how to deal with hecklers. Dave’s full-time career as a teacher provides him with an excellent source of material, as if his wife, family, and friends aren’t enough already.

Jaylene Tran is the first and only Vietnamese comedian in New England. Based out of Boston where she’s pursuing a degree at Harvard University and asks that you don’t hold it against her. She has performed at venues all over the East Coast, making audiences laugh at anything using her sharp wit, grace, and just a dash of mischievousness that will have you wondering “what the heck is wrong with her?”

Dave Rattigan is the regular host of MMAS comedy shows. He’s a writer-comedian-actor who also runs Scamps Comedy Productions, which produces shows at theaters, restaurants and fundraisers. His Dave Rattigan: Thinks He’s Funny CD was played on Sirius Satellite Radio and he’s written humorous pieces for several publications, including The Boston Globe and Christian Science Monitor. He wrote and produced funny webisodes from the Post Office Golf League series and acted in the independent film Heavy Times and in commercials for iParty and Olympia Sports. He performed three times on the syndicated Steve Katsos Show and appears in the feature-length animated Drill Booth, scheduled for release in 2021.
