Corey Manning Comedy Show – June 30

Boston comedian (and Norfolk resident) Corey Manning headlines Thursday, June 30 outdoor stand-up comedy at the Mass Arts Center.
Presented by Scamps Comedy and the Mass Arts Center, the shows will be outdoors in the tent if weather permits, or may be moved indoors in case of inclement weather (or extreme heat). Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
Take a seat and put your drink in a location where you’re less likely to knock it over, because as soon as Corey Manning descends upon the stage… It’s on!!! If there is no energy in the room, he brings it. If there is energy in the room, Corey absorbs it and takes it to another level. Fresh off his performance in Tracy Morgan’s “Picking Up The Pieces Tour,” Corey was featured on Nick Jr.’s Mom Night Out Comedy Showcase, appeared on NBC’s Family Feud with Steve Harvey and Jamie Foxx’s “Laughapalooza’s New Faces In Comedy.” He known for his slick, upbeat, funny, over-the-top comedy.
Jeff Koen’s family was on America’s Funniest Home Videos and won $10,000. Can anything be more glamorous than that? Koen often works the clubs and theaters of New England with Juston McKinney, and is in constant demand as an actor on independent film projects. He’s known for his portrayal of one of the characters in the on-line cartoon Man Servants, and for playing the offensive “Uncle Rick” in the 2010 cult film Heavy Times, which gained him fans from all of the world, though not many in any one country. “A guy from Sri Lanka wanted to visit me and stay at my house,” he said. “All he needed me to do was write a letter to the prime minister.”
Mansfield’s Lauren Sims is a very funny newcomer to the Boston comedy scene who made her professional debut outdoors on the Mass Arts Center stage in 2020. Since then, she’d made the comedy club rounds, performing in Manchester, NH, on Cape Cod, in Boston, Route 1 in Saugus, and anywhere else that stage time is available. She’s also co-host of the comedy podcast Let Me Tell You This About That, available anywhere with access to the Internet.
Dave Rattigan returns as host. He has performed at Fenway Park, The Cape Cod Melody Tent, South Shore Music Circus, a lumberyard, the lobby of an ad agency, a library, and several parking lots, including one at the Norton Reservoir. His CD has been played on Sirius Satellite Radio, and he’s performed on the syndicated Steve Katsos Show. He’s done commercials for Olympia Sports and iParty, and performed in Dublin and Kilkenny, Ireland. He co-hosts two podcasts, the crime ‘n grime Inside the Line: Real Stories by Real Cops, and Soccerheads New England. He also runs Scamps Comedy Productions, which produces live comedy shows including the ones at MAC.
The show is presented by the Mass Arts Center with Scamp Comedy Productions. Tickets are $20.
