2022 Steve Sweeney Comedy Show – Feb. 12

Steve Sweeney Comedy Show – Feb. 12

The last time Charlestown-born Steve Sweeney appeared in Mansfield he was work-shopping his one man show, Steve Sweeney: Townie, which he later released on Amazon Prime. This time he returns to the new theater to perform his standup set.

Steve Sweeney comes to Mansfield on Saturday, Feb. 12, with shows at 7pm and 9pm.

The show also features host Dave Rattigan and feature act Joe Espinola.

Sweeney is a legendary Boston comedian known as a master of dialects and character voices. With his famous Boston accent and great insight into human nature, Sweeney is so thoroughly Bostonian that he merits his own stop on the MBTA Green Line. He has appeared in dozens of films and televisions shows including Letterman, 2019’s Sweeney Killing Sweeney (in which he spoofed his own persona), as well as Denzel Washington’s The Equalizer, Rodney Dangerfield’s Back to School, The Farelly Brothers’ There’s Something About Mary and Me, Myself and Irene, and several others. He is a frequent guest on Boston radio and was host of the morning-drive Sweeney’s Neighborhood on WZLX (100.7 FM).

The show is presented by the Mass Arts Center with Scamp Comedy Productions. Tickets are $30.
