A Letter from Dori

LETTER FROM THE ACADEMY AT MASS ARTS

“Arts education is not a luxury; it’s a necessity.” Michelle Obama

Former First Lady, Michelle Obama is a known arts advocate. She well understands that when we engage in the arts, we engage with the world. It is this philosophy on which the Academy at Mass Arts was established. Our courses are process based; we are chiefly interested in the development of each student’s artistic voice. This is why we continually return to the drawing board to design courses that will inspire our diverse population of artists.

This summer, The Academy at Mass Arts has an exciting new line-up of programs. Our new curriculum invites performing artists from age 3 to adult to study with our top notch team of teaching artists. Traditional classes in musical theatre performance alongside courses in musical composition, and new programs for toddlers, are sure to make The Academy your one stop shop for all things performing arts.

Announced soon will be courses for adults, including workshops in Tai Chi, Mindfulness and Meditation, Acting, and Dance, so be sure to visit our website often to keep pace with our growing list of programs. And of course, if there are any programs you would like to see added to our line-up, please reach out! We would love to hear from you.

In the meantime, review our 2022 summer line-up. And remember, partial and full scholarships are available and they are both merit and income based.

Thank you for considering The Academy at Mass Arts. It is our privilege to nurture and forward the artistry in all our students.

In service,
Dori
